Maple Buckwheat Pancakes

Hearty buckwheat pancakes, flavored with maple syrup and butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 t soda
  • 1/2 t baking powder
  • 1 cup HOMESTEAD WHOLE BUCKWHEAT FLOUR
  • 1/4 t salt

Directions

  • Beat the egg; add sour cream, maple syrup and milk; mix until the syrup is well blended.
  • Measure dry ingredients and sift into wet ingredients.
  • Mix with a whisk and pour about 1/4 cup of batter at a time onto hot griddle or skillet.
  • Serve as desired.
